We're investing £5000 in the Salford community – but who wins... you decide!

To celebrate the ten-year anniversary, of the Irwell Valley Foundation, we're giving Salford residents, charities and community groups the opportunity to pitch for £5000 to fund projects, events, activities or services that will benefit the people and communities of Salford. Applications can be made online here before the 15th November.

Established in 2009 the Irwell Valley Foundation is a £2 million endowment fund investment that is managed by Irwell Valley Homes and Forever Manchester. And over the last ten years we have helped residents to create places that people are proud to live in, and supported projects and initiatives that bring communities together and have a positive impact on people’s lives. Investing £100,000 each year to benefit communities and individuals across Greater Manchester.

Chair of the foundation Fiona Carr said “Supporting people, improving places and boosting communities is at the heart of everything we do. We are really excited to bring the community of Salford together through this funding, because we know that when communities come together, great things happen.”

She went on to say “Anyone from Salford can apply, if you have a project, event, activity or service that would benefit from our support, please get your applications in. We are inviting the people of Salford to decide who should be awarded the funding at a special event that will be held on 27th November at the Beacon Centre. Members of the public are encouraged to come along between 5:45pm until 8pm to have their vote and enjoy a hot supper! The winners will be announced on the night."
