People struggle to keep to their tenancy agreement due to all sorts of reasons and everyone’s personal circumstances are different.
If you’re struggling, we will work with you to provide the right support to help you live well in your home.
Financial support
We can help you with
- Accessing extra financial support
- Budgeting, managing your finances and support with benefits
- Practical support to source food, furniture and other items you may need to live well in your home.
- Sharing advice about energy including tariffs and any energy debts you may have.
- Supporting you to access employment, education, training and volunteering opportunities, to help you get on in life.
Keeping you safe
Working in partnership with other agencies, we will work with residents who are at risk of harm to make sure they are protected. If you, or someone you know is affected by neglect, harm, abuse or exploitation from others please get in touch using the form below or through any of the other ways here. Always call the police or other relevant emergency service if you are in danger.

Other support we can offer
We can also help with:
- Settling into your new home.
- Support to access more specialist and intensive help if required.
- Looking after your health and wellbeing.
-
To understand if you would benefit from our support, we consider:
- Your experiences of living independently.
- Whether you’re employed and the length of any employment.
- Other support services you receive.
How we can help
Your Housing Officer will start by assessing your needs and working out what support may help you. They can provide practical support such as vouchers for food, furniture and support with energy bills. They can also sign post you to other support services who can provide specific help to meet your needs.
If your Housing Officer feels you would benefit from more intensive support, you will then be given your own sustainment coach who will work with you to support you to manage your tenancy further.

Our Inclusive Services Policy
At Irwell Valley Homes we make it our mission to enable people to live well in their homes and communities.
By recognising everyone’s differences and understanding the impact of inequalities, we can provide homes and services that are tailored to help everyone live well.
Our Inclusive Services Policy explains how we identify when someone may need extra help, and how we adjust our services so they can access and use them fairly. Our aim is to provide services that work for people as individuals, not to treat everyone the same, when their needs are different.
If you would like to let us know about how we can adjust our services to best meet your needs please contact us here.
