What is STAIRs?

STAIRs gives you the right to access information about how Irwell Valley Homes operates and manages your home.

The scheme will be introduced in two stages:

Phase One: From 1st October 2026

Social landlords must publish information about how they are run and how they deliver services.

Phase Two: From 1st April 2027

Customers will be able to request specific information relating to themselves and their home. This may include information about:

  • Repairs
  • Complaints
  • Rent and service charges
  • Property information
  • Housing services

We will respond to these requests within 30 calendar days, as outlined by the scheme.

Many of the documents and reports required under phase one are already available on the Irwell Valley Homes website. We have brought them together here so they are easier to find. We are currently preparing for phase two and will share more information closer to its introduction next year.
