Measuring our impact

We lead on Diversity, Inclusion, Community Cohesion and Equality (DICE) on behalf of Greater Manchester Housing Providers. In 2020 we surveyed members to understand how we’re tackling inequality within our own organisations and collaboratively. We found that we have more to do in terms of collecting data and using it to improve, whilst the case studies we collected reflect the good work of organisations in addressing inequalities. The research has enabled members to sharpen their focus on tackling inequalities. It has been well received by others across the UK who have adapted our methodology. This will allow us to gather a more comprehensive picture of the sector’s response to tackling inequalities. Since carrying out our survey, we were also invited to get involved in developing the National Housing Federation’s EDI data tool.

We encourage our colleagues to confidentially share their equality and diversity information with us. This helps us to ensure everyone is treated fairly, that our workplace is safe and welcoming for everyone and somewhere everyone is rewarded and recognised equally for what they bring.
