We’re driven by our social purpose and committed to providing good quality homes and services, making a difference in the communities we serve, providing more affordable homes, and supporting colleagues to enjoy work, learn and grow.

Communities need us more than ever. As the cost-of-living crisis escalates, customers need additional support. There is a growing and urgent need for more affordable housing, and we need to make homes more energy efficient.

Our Living Well plan focuses on doing the basics brilliantly for our customers, whilst addressing the challenges our customers, colleagues, partners, and communities are facing right now. Our priorities help us to enable people to live well in their homes and communities – which is what we’re all about.

Delivering against our purpose for 50 years.

In 2023 Irwell Valley Homes celebrates its 50th birthday.

We were formed in May 1973 with a handful of homes in Salford and one mission – to enable people to live well in their homes and communities.

From these nine terrace homes, we have grown to serve more than 20,000 customers across Greater Manchester, remaining true to our social purpose and diversifying to offer new tenures and types – from supported housing and independent living to shared ownership and rent to buy opportunities.
