Communities need us more than ever. There is a growing and urgent need for more affordable housing, and we need to make homes more energy efficient.
Our Living Well plan focuses on doing the basics brilliantly for our customers, whilst addressing the challenges our customers, colleagues, partners, and communities are facing right now. Our priorities help us to enable people to live well in their homes and communities – which is what we’re all about.

Delivering against our purpose for more than 50 years.
In 2023 Irwell Valley Homes celebrated its 50th birthday.
We were formed in May 1973 with a handful of homes in Salford and one mission – to enable people to live well in their homes and communities.
From these nine terrace homes, we have grown to serve more than 20,000 customers across Greater Manchester, remaining true to our social purpose and diversifying to offer new tenures and types – from supported housing and independent living to shared ownership and rent to buy opportunities.
Watch our film below sharing some of the highlights and memories of the last half a century from colleagues and customers past and present.
