We're regenerating Sale West
By working with the people in the communities we serve, we can build back better and improve the lives of those who live there.
We support the levelling up agenda and believe that housing associations are ideally placed to help with community place shaping.
We are busy playing our part. Our multimillion-pound estate regeneration programme in Trafford is now in its third phase. The plan, which was shaped by residents, is delivering more affordable housing, improving existing homes and enhancing the environment and public realm.
The first two phases are now complete and have delivered 102 affordable new homes, along estate enhancements which include:
- Four new natural play areas and communal spaces co‑designed with customers.
- Tree-planting, supporting drainage, biodiversity and wellbeing.
- A nature trail.
- Improved wayfinding - including glow‑in‑the‑dark street signage.
- Resurfaced ginnels and parking courts to address flooding.
- A link road to improve connectivity across the estate.
Phase 3 is currently underway delivering 66 new homes for social rent including an independent living scheme for older people and a supported housing scheme for adults with additional needs.
Alongside this, we have a varied and meaningful community investment programme, focused on delivering on the priorities which matter most to our customers.
