In Sale West there is a strong sense of community and a desire among residents to improve their neighbourhood. We are delighted to be realising our customers’ aspirations and driving forward the changes they want to see.
We're regenerating Sale West
By working with the people in the communities we serve, we can build back better and improve the lives of those who live there.
We support the government’s levelling up agenda and believe that housing associations are ideally placed to help with community place shaping.
We are busy playing our part. Our multimillion-pound estate regeneration programme in Trafford is well underway. The plan, which has been shaped by residents, will transform the estate over the next seven years by building more affordable housing, improving existing homes and enhancing the environment and public realm.
We are acutely aware of the impact of climate change so as part of the regeneration programme, we are investing in mitigating the effects of climate change and bringing about positive enhancements to support sustainability, nature and biodiversity.
The first phase is nearly complete and includes 79 new affordable new homes, improvements to existing homes, plus, new roads, parking, walkways, cycle routes and environmental enhancements.
We are working closely with our partners Homes England, Trafford Council and The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities to realise this extensive improvement programme which is being delivered by our contractor Seddon.
