Irwell Valley Homes is the only housing association in the north west to have been awarded silver in the latest round of an employer recognition scheme highlighting an organisation's commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community.
We are one of 56 employers in the region to have been granted the silver accreditation in the Degence Relationship Management Employers Recognition Scheme Awards 2023.
It recognises the efforts of employers who have both elevated their commitments under the Armed Forces Covenant and provided actual benefits to the Armed Forces Community.
Assistant Chief of Defence Staff (Reserve & Cadets), Major General Marc Overton, said: “I would like to thank and congratulate the recipients of this year’s Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Awards. A Silver award recognises the fantastic efforts of employers throughout the UK who have both elevated their commitments under the Armed Forces Covenant and provided actual benefits to the Armed Forces Community.
