Our work on the regeneration of Sale West has been selected to feature in a new compendium highlighting good practice.

It appears in the Excellence in Community Investment category in the Chartered Institute of Housing’s Good Practice Compendium for the North, recognising the difference the regeneration of the estate is making to local people and the environment there.

From apprenticeship opportunities for residents and community horticulture projects helping people to grow their own, to advice hubs to help people through the cost-of-living crisis, we are working with our partners to ensure the ambitious regeneration project creates opportunities and boosts the economic mobility of those who live there.

This is alongside work building new affordable homes for social rent; driving up the quality of existing homes with new roofs, kitchens and fencing; and enhancing the biodiversity of the estate with raft of environmental features from hedgehog highways to natural play areas.

Sasha Deepwell, Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to be included in this well-respected round-up showcasing the great things going on in the sector across the region.

“On Sale West we are committed to driving up the standard of our homes, enhancing the estate and building more to meet urgent housing need, while working with residents to deliver a legacy which benefits local people now, as well as future generations.”
