Did you know we have a charitable investment fund which provides grants to support our customers and communities?
The Foundation can provide funding to help with:
- support into employment, education and training.
- launching a new business.
- improving health and wellbeing.
- reducing loneliness.
- improving community spaces.
Customers can apply for a personal grant of up to £3,000, while community groups and charities working in Irwell Valley Homes neighbourhoods can apply for a community grant of up to £12,000.
Last year we awarded £66,648 in grants to help our customers and support community projects in the neighbourhoods where they live.
Now, one of our grants could help you!
Supporting Kerry towards a new future for her and her family
Our customer Kerry applied to the Foundation for funding to buy a laptop to help with her university degree.
She said: “The laptop has made a massive improvement on my studies - I am able to work from home, meet deadlines easily and bring my equipment into uni.
“Thank you so much for the support in providing help towards a better future for me and my son!”
Boosting community projects making a difference in our neighbourhoods
If there’s a community group or charity doing great things in your neighbourhood which needs some extra support, refer them to the Irwell Valley Foundation to see how we might be able to help.
From food banks and lunch clubs to horticulture projects and employability courses – if it’s benefiting Irwell Valley Homes customers, we’d love to find out more.
Patricroft Community Interest Company in Salford received funding to develop its programme of weekend and out-of-school clubs.
Since receiving the grant they’ve launched a gardening club, family club and homework club at the weekends to support local families and residents. The grant has also helped towards their kids club on a Thursday evening, offering arts, crafts and games for local children.
Judy, from the group, said: “We’re so grateful to have received the funding which has helped so much in developing our new groups.”
