I’m getting in touch to let you know that I have moved to a new position within Irwell Valley Homes.

I’m no longer your neighbourhood officer, but still hope to work with you in my new role as Customer Engagement Lead.

We are currently in the process of recruiting my replacement and will share their details with you as soon as we can.

In the meantime, please report any neighbourhood or tenancy issues via our Customer Service and Support Team and they will arrange for another member of the neighbourhoods team to follow up with you.

You can reach them via live chat on our website www.irwellvalley.co.uk; send a message through our customer portal (sign in or register on our website here); email us at contact@irwellvalley.co.uk or call us on 0300 561 1111.

My final update from your area

My priority so far this year has been working with residents and partners to keep the area safe and clean.

We have installed extra bins at our development on Water Lane and increased the frequency of the bin store inspections in a bid to crack down on fly-tipping.

We are also using CCTV to tackle fly-tipping and other anti-social behaviour – our first site in the area to benefit from this was River Court where it is having a positive impact.

Towards the end of last year, we were pleased to see Healthwatch Bury launch their new base in one of our former shop units in the heart of Bury on Bolton Street.

This is a great resource for the local community and we’re really proud to be playing our part.

Along with use of the premises, this included providing a grant through our Irwell Valley Foundation to help provide the finishing touches to the refurbishment to make the space as welcoming and friendly as possible.

If you could benefit from a personal grant from the Foundation to help you get on in life – perhaps to cover the cost of a training course or equipment – click here to read more about the support we can offer and to check the criteria.

To find out more about Bury Healthwatch’s programme of activities and how to get involved with their work championing local health and social care services for local people, connect with them on Facebook (15) or visit their website www.healthwatchbury.co.uk.

My new position is all about listening to customers to gather feedback and insight to help us improve our homes and services.

From joining one of our customer groups to mystery shopping our services, reviewing a new policy or providing feedback on the newsletters and communications we send out, there’s loads of different ways to get involved.

Read more about the different opportunities here.

If you’re interested in joining us, please get in touch. Email involveme@irwellvalley.co.uk or reach out via one of the other ways listed above.

I would love to work with you to make improvements for our customers in Radcliffe and across Greater Manchester.

It’s been a privilege to work with you as your neighbourhood officer. Thank you for being so welcoming and helpful and for joining in with community initiatives like the clean-up days and litter picks.

I wish you all the very best in your home for the future.
Kind regards,
