Sale West: Hurst, Hamilton, Epsom, Lingfield, Catterick, Haydock Avenues.

I hope you are all well. Having recently moved to the patch, it has been great getting out on my estate audits and meeting you all.

Please find some updates about your neighbourhood below.

Grounds maintenance

We sent a recent update letting you know that, from 1st April the grounds maintenance service in Sale West will not be contracted out to a gardening company and that we are starting a new team in Irwell Valley Homes who will carry out this work. We are confident that a new in-house team will improve the service by being able to respond quicker to customer feedback, focusing on the quality and frequency of the maintenance, and really understanding the estate, so areas aren’t missed and everywhere gets the attention it needs.  You can read the full update here

Dog fouling

We appreciate that residents may be concerned about dog mess. Please can residents with pets ensure that they are cleaning up after them to keep the environment nice for everyone. As well as being unhygienic, dog mess has recently prevented contractors from completing important work within our estate and blocks. It is an offence to not clean up after your animals and tenancy action can be taken against offenders.

Communal Doors

I noticed on my audit that communal front doors are being wedged open in some buildings. Please can all residents keep these closed to ensure the security for all residents living in the block. The importance of this is highlighted in your tenancy agreements and leaving this door open is a breach of your tenancy.

Fly-tipping

I have noticed fly-tipping around the estate and would like to remind residents that leaving your large, unwanted items in the grounds or in communal areas is a breach of your tenancy and is against the law. Enforcement action will be taken against anyone caught fly-tipping.

Trafford Council offer a collection service for bulky items such as mattresses, fridges and furniture. Find out more here.
