Shaminder Rai

Shaminder Rai

A qualified accountant and transformation leader with financial services, education, and charity sector experience. I devote time to the Nishkam charity, supporting education and community initiatives across the UK, Africa and India. I was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) and my approach is grounded in the belief that sustainable impact comes from building capability and opportunity not short-term fixes.

My career has focused on improving customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and governance through transformation programmes, including roles at HSBC, Secure Trust Bank and The Warranty Group. I bring expertise in audit and risk, data-led performance improvement, and digital and operational transformation, supported by Lean Six Sigma methodology.

As Charles Darwin observed, “it is the most adaptive to change that survive vs the strongest or most intelligent.” I believe IVH reflects this mindset, which motivated me to join and support its strong social purpose in making a lasting difference to residents’ lives.
