We are extremely grateful for everyone's patience and understanding over the last few days.

Q: Is it safe to go back to my flat?

A: Yes it is safe. All necessary safety checks have taken place, and it is safe for you to return.

Q: Is this likely to happen again?

A: The water damage was caused by a burst valve. As a precautionary measure, we have replaced the valves on all the floors and checked all other pipes and joints. We will also be carrying out the same checks at the two other tower blocks.

Q:  Why did it take so long to fix?

A: We are sorry about the time it has taken to resolve this. Whilst the repairs were carried out over the weekend, we had to wait for Electricity NorthWest and Scottish and Southern Energy to do their necessary works following this.

Q: I think there has been some damage caused to my flat as a result?

A: There is a team onsite until 8pm tonight (Wednesday) and from 9am to 5pm on Thursday who can help with this. Please find a member of our team or email contact@irwellvalley.co.uk

Q: I haven’t claimed any expenses yet how do it do this?

A: We will provide £25 per adult per day and @12.50 per child per day to help towards expenses you’ve incurred. If you have not yet made a claim, please email jenna.hughes@irwellvalley.co.uk with your name, address, sort code and bank account number.

Q – I don’t think I have been paid the right amount of expenses?

A: Please email contact@irwellvalley.co.uk or call us on 0300 561 1111.

Q: What about the content of my fridge/freezer – will I be compensated?

A: Yes, please can you photograph the contents that has been wasted and if possible provide a receipt and we will cover this cost for you.

Q: This has left me feeling extremely anxious.

A: We know the last few days have not been easy. We are really sorry to hear this has impacted your wellbeing. Please your contact your Community Co-ordinators, Siobhan and Ryan, for further assistance.
