Meet our Board

Our Board of Management is supported by a number of committees:

  • Audit Committee
  • Governance and Remuneration Committee
  • Development Committee

The Board meet at least six times a year, while the committees meet quarterly.

Members are recruited to the Board and committees for their knowledge, skills and their lived experience.  Our members come from a diverse range of backgrounds and we are working to ensure that our members reflect the diversity of the customers we serve.

We have a separate Residents Scrutiny Panel (RSP) - who agree the areas to be reviewed with the Board.  They also report their findings and recommendations arising out of their scrutiny activities back to the Board.  Click here for more information about the RSP and how you could get involved.

Over the past 12 months, our Board and committees have been:

  1. Reviewing the financial performance of the Association – so they are assured that we can achieve our future plans;
  2. Discussing the requirements of the building and fire safety regulations on our stock and approving remediation works required to keep our residents and buildings safe;
  3. Reviewing and agreeing changes to our risk map – making sure that we are focused on our key risks and not putting our business or assets under any unnecessary risk;
  4. Reviewing the performance of the Association as a whole;
  5. Discussing our financial capacity and treasury management (including planning for going out to market for additional funding);
  6. Approving opportunities for building new homes.

Members are paid in recognition of the responsibility, time and expertise they put into the running of the Association. The amount of payment they received is externally reviewed and market-tested on a regular basis.

Last reviewed in January 2022, our Board Members are rewarded as follows:

  • Chair of Board of Management - £15,000
  • Vice Chair and Chair of Audit Committee - £10,800
  • Chair of Development Committee - £8,500
  • Chair of Governance & Remuneration - £8,500
  • Board member - £5,500

Board members who also sit on the Board of a subsidiary organisation within the IV Group also receive an additional £500 in recognition of their additional responsibility and time commitment.
