How to pay your rent

We offer lots of ways for you to pay your rent, just choose the one that’s right for you!

Direct Debit 

For most customers Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay. When a Direct Debit is set up, your rent is taken automatically from your bank or building society account on a date that you choose.

There are no fees for this and it can help you to avoid missing a payment.

You can request a Direct Debit form by filling out the form below or by contacting us on 0300 561 1111.


You can pay through allpay, either over the phone, via their website, or by using their mobile app. It’s really easy, all you will need is a credit or debit card to make a payment.

If you are making your first payment using AllPay, you will be asked to sign up. To do this you will need your PRN number, this can be found on any of your recent rent statements. If you can't find this, please call us and we'll be able to give this to you over the phone. Just call 0300 561 1111.

Rent payment card

You can pay at any Post Office or Paypoint using your rent payment card.

Direct payments 

If you receive Housing Benefit, you can request that the Local Authority pay this directly to us. If you receive Universal Credit, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) may be able to pay this directly to us if you meet certain criteria, contact them to find out if you are eligible.

We are here to help  

It is important that you pay your rent on time, but we know that it’s not always that easy. We are here to help.

If you are struggling to pay your rent please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer the right support to help you get your account back on track. The sooner you get in touch, the easier it will be.

Please also let us know if you have any changes in your circumstances which may affect your ability to pay your rent.

When you contact us we will listen to you and offer nonjudgemental help and support. If you would prefer to speak to someone in person, we can organise a home visit. However you get in touch with us, we will always respond quickly and sympathetically.

We will check if you are entitled to any extra financial help. To do this we will ask you to tell us about the money you have coming in, and what you have going out. This helps us to identify any benefits you may be eligible for. We can also refer you to money specialists and debt advisors if we feel you would benefit.

If you fall into arrears, we promise to make a fair and affordable agreement with you to repay them. This will be based on how much you can afford to pay, taking into account your other outgoings.

To help us help you, please respond to any letters you receive from us and attend any appointments you have with our Rents team.
