We are delighted to share that Claire Griffiths our Executive Director of Growth, Development & Assets has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Cobalt Housing and will take up her new role in August 2022.

With 5,900 homes in North Liverpool, Cobalt Housing is focused on supporting people to create thriving communities, positioning itself as ‘more than a landlord’ with a key role as a community anchor.

Claire’s made a significant contribution to Irwell Valley Homes since her appointment in 2017 – leading our extensive development programme and asset management strategy, directing our building safety work, and embarking on our carbon zero journey.

We are passionate about developing people to be their best and invest in our colleagues to help them progress and achieve their ambitions. While we will miss Claire, we are excited to see her take the next step in her career and wish her all the very best in her new role.

On her appointment, Claire said; “I’m hugely honoured and excited to be given the opportunity to lead Cobalt in the next stage of its evolution and growth.

"My time at Irwell Valley Homes has been incredible. I have seen us developing again - building much needed new homes for people across the city region. We’ve nurtured strong partnerships to help us grow, significantly increased the investment in our existing homes, and begun our journey to becoming a zero-carbon organisation. I worked with some brilliant colleagues and have loved seeing them grow and flourish."
